How it works
One request. One independent local crew. No runaround.
Chattanooga Tree Pros is a referral service. We write the guides, you tell us about the tree, and an independent Chattanooga tree company that does that kind of work contacts you to quote it. Here is exactly what happens, what we do, and what we don't.
The five steps
What we do
What we don't do
Why the guides come first
The hour after a tree falls, or the week after a storm, is the worst time to be reading sales pages. So the cost guide, the permit rules, the insurance check, the neighbor-tree law and the EPB page exist to answer the questions before the quote, from primary sources, with dates. A homeowner who has read them gets a better quote from any company, including the one we send. Our about page describes how the information is sourced.
Who the companies are
Independent, locally operated tree businesses — some full-service, some stump-only, some arborist-led. They work under their own name, insurance and pricing. Before you hire anyone, ours or not: get the certificate of insurance, confirm it with the agent, and get the scope in writing. The company list shows what that looks like for seven real Chattanooga firms.
Matching questions
What does it cost me to be matched?
Nothing. There is no fee to you at any point, and no obligation to hire the company you are matched with.
How does Chattanooga Tree Pros make money?
The independent companies we refer homeowners to pay for the referrals or for a place in the matching rotation. That is the whole business. It does not change what you pay them, and it is why every page tells you to get other quotes and to verify insurance before hiring anyone — including anyone we send.
Will I be contacted by several companies?
No. One request goes to one company. If that company cannot take the job or does not respond, we route it to the next one and tell you.
Where is the request form and phone number?
Not open yet. The site launched with its guides first; the request form and a local phone line open after launch, and the contact page says what to have ready. Until then, the pages here are built to get you to the right answer and the right kind of company on your own.
Is the company you match me with licensed?
No Tennessee licence is specific to tree work — the state contractor licence applies at $25,000 and up for any trade — so the honest answer is: ask for the insurance certificate. Inside Chattanooga the 2025 ordinance requires tree companies to register with the City and carry liability insurance; the verification page shows what to ask for and how to read it.
